I also worked for Paul Raymond in the late 80's but I managed one of his nightclubs and had to put up with the other side of Debbie. The obnoxious, spoilt, coked up, drunken brat who seemed to take great delight in upsetting customers and humiliating staff because her daddy owned the club.
I worked for Paul Raymond 1988-90. A rumour in the office was that he'd sold secondhand cars after the war from bomb-sites in Soho (they were worth more than new cars, because of restrictions to boost exports) and invested the profits in property. The porn was the public face of his empire, but the property always made just as much money, right from the start. One of his grand-daughters is now a director of Soho Estates.
I worked with Debbie. A lovely kindhearted woman who hated boredom and routine, and couldn't say no to any challenge.
